
The diploma in Information Technology with a specialty in Networking management and administration (DIT-Networking) is offered at Level 5 and level 7. It has been developed in response to a growing demand in the Information Communication Technology (ICT) industry for graduates with a range of skills in network infrastructure management and support.

This DIT-Networking provides opportunity for new students or those already in the industry to gain practical hands on experience and entry into the ICT industry or gain academic recognition for their skills.
Students who have degrees in non-computing disciplines and wish to step into the computing field can gain admission to this program.

Cornell has purchased Cisco equipments worth of several hundred dollars. This equipment is made available to students during the lab sessions to help them gain hands- on practical experience by configuring and administering the physical routers and switches.

The DIT incorporates CompTIA, Microsoft and Cisco certifications. The level 5 diploma (DITL5) emphasizes on the server administration skills and includes a number of Microsoft and CompTIA certifications. Level 7 diploma (DITL7) emphasizes on the network management skills including Cisco certifications and ITIL service management framework.
